This message is long overdue, but I'm sure most of you realized that this site is inactive. Sorry to do this, but I just don't see a point anymore. It wasn't even my site to start with and I just don't have the effort to do anything else with it. I ran out of ideas.
So, now that that's outta the way... There've been some good people on here and I don't want to lose contact with you. I'll still come on here from time to time, but if you ever stumble across this site again and want to contact me, you can reach me at my AIM, which is Zydodo, or MSN, which is i_see_stupid_people_1@hotmail
.com. Heh, don't ask.
Anyway, thanks to those who took the time to read this.

Well, the November activity check is now over, and we're now down to 14 members. I dunno what happened to some of the staff, but we should be fine with the 4 of us--Ama, Ria, Carn and myself. As for those who are missing.. well, hopefully nothing has happened to them. On a happier note, it is, of course, December. All the holidays are starting up, so I can understand why the activity may be going down. But I must say, it's on the rise. I'm thinking of a monthly activity check.. or at least one every two months. The next one will probably be after the holidays. Anyway... I also added the 'Open Threads' thing. I'm hoping it will be helpful for newer members. Here's the link: Open Threads. And Ria also gave the idea of having a board for the borders of the pack lands. It'll probably make things easier for newer members, so I'll have to get on that.
Well, that was about all I had to say. Thanks guys for stickin' with me and this site. Happy Holidays.
Regards,
Zylem.

Oh, and almost forgot... HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY CLASH.
Geez, it hardly seems like a year, but believe it or not, it is.

Another monthly update. The recent recession in activity is quite concerning, so.. we're basically starting over.. again.. I'm getting pretty tired of this, but.. *shrug* I dunno what to do with the inactive accounts... Guess we'll just have to wait till the end of the month to delete them in another activity check.. I'll be moving all the threads into the archives... I have deleted the affiliates who have deleted our banner and am advertising again. I dunno what happened to our former staff, but.. I'd like to welcome Ria (AKA Raksha) to the staff team. She's the only one that's still here and is actually helping, so thank you Ria. And any guests reading this.. we welcome you as well. Anyway.. That is pretty much all I have to say. Also, November is a month of remembrance and thanksgiving, so.. just keep that in mind.
Regards,

Hi. Zylem here with your monthly update. *Shifts eyes* Sorry, just had to say that. Anyway... All inactive accounts have been deleted. All inactive threads have been moved. And I will soon create a Pre-Made character board... I've noticed the recent decline in activity... Especially for those who are supposed to be staff. I understand you have lives and all, but I would rather you at least tell me that you're going to be gone... and maybe that the staff position isn't right for you. New members - please join another thread or organize it so you and another member will have a thread together. I've seen it too many times when a promising member joins, then leaves because no one has replied to their thread. So, just to avoid that, please join another thread. If you're wondering what thread to join, ask in the cbox and someone will surely help you. OH, and I've also edited our playlist. It's workin now. And the affiliates have been moved to the main page. So, yeah, I think that's about all I have to say... And be active, goddamn it! Don't make it look like I'm the only one who doesn't have a life...
Kiddin. Anyway... Regards,

Well, the inactive member countdown is on, unfortunately, but I have given those people many chances to return... I'm sorry, but having inactive members may as well not be members at all. If you do actually return to the site and see that your account has been deleted, feel free to rejoin.. and maybe, y'know, be active. That would be great, so.. Anyway, by the end of this month (because we should all be adjusted to school by then), I will be deleting all accounts that have not signed in within the past month. Yes.. being an admin involves those depressing jobs, sorry to say.

Sorry with the frequent updates, but I remembered a few more things to say. There is now a 5-person staff team, in case you didn't notice. There will be no more, unfortunately (even that is a bit too much right now). But those are the people I choose and you better be happy about it. Now, the other thing I wanted to add was.. well, this plot is progressing rather slowly. I mean, I have it all planned out (most of it, anyway), but with the amount of members it isn't goin as fast as it could... Anyway, what I'm tryin to say is, we need mini-plots. You know, just to keep it interestin. So if you have any ideas, post in the rants part of the board. Now, don't be afraid. I'll accept almost anything... Almost...

2008:
As you've probably heard, the site is no longer adminless. I would just like to thank Frost and Carn, y'know, trying to keep the site alive. Sorry, but you don't really get an award for that. I know. It's unfortunate. We now have a 4-person staff team, including Eyolf/Terry, the not-so-new member. Any new members/guests... don't be afraid to post in the cbox, even though you have many reasons to be *cough*. Anyway... I've also sent out an activity check... the first one, I might add. I've been trying to improve a few things, so now would be a good time to make suggestions. Staff members, you don't need to ask to modify anything on the site, including making your own
announcements/
news/etc. But if you're unsure, ask me. Oh, and members, use the OOC board to pass time until... y'know, we get some members back..

2008:
In case you haven't noticed, I have set up both the YOTW and the site playlist... Though no one seems to be overly interested, which is fine. I've also done an OCC RPing board. This, on the other hand, looks to have obtained some interest, which is good. It's summer and all, and when I'm not doin' whatever, I'll have alot of time to improve the site (new skin, in case you haven't noticed that either), and am needing suggestions... really. I don't care what they are, and if you have one, even if it puts down what I've done with the site, TELL ME. Thank you.

2008:
Well... We'll have the YOTW and playlist-thing as soon as I figure out how to get two tables next to each other. Heh.

2008:
Okay, well, I've come up with a brilliant idea. We're going to have a YouTube Of The Week (YOTW). Brilliant, isn't it? Yes, I told you it was. And while I'm at it, I'll also add a music playlist-thing. You can find a thread about it in the OOC section as soon as I get to making one.
- Sunday, May 11th:
Yes... I have decided to start over. There isn't much to say, other than, if you wish to help, you can message me. I will create a thread about it as soon as possible.
Winter has finally come to its end. All snow has dispersed and foliage is in full bloom. The previous yellow grasses are returning to their natural greens colours, while the trees are in the process of recuperation, producing the forests we once knew. With new growth comes new life. Prey, although it may not be much, is rejuvenating in numbers to nourish the wolf population. Expect mostly sunny days, but rain storms are on the rise.
Activity:
Currently, Archon is gathering pack members while trying to keep his old. This isn't working too well for him, however, seeing as his pack has now dwindled to only two members. But as loners continue to wander through, things seem to be looking up for the humble pack. Their high tensions stands in their way, though. If they wish to accept new members, the threesome is going to have to sort out their own problems before they can become a well coordinated and self-sufficient pack.
POP STATS:
Current Alpha: Archon Member Count: 2 Current Loners: 4 Pending: 5 TOTAL: 12 wolves
A new day, A new life. « Thread Started on Aug 21, 2008, 7:04pm »
Perhaps she had never realized it. So long had she spent surrounded by a realm of solitude, content in her own world of loneliness. Perhaps she never really knew, that her kind was meant to be together. Maybe it had just never occurred to her, that indeed wolves were meant to form packs, alliances, friendships and enemies. Had it really been that long, that she no longer knew the ways of pack life? Maybe it was being in solitude for so long that had changed her, reformed her into the female she was now. Years in isolation from the world had broken her down, made it impossible for her opinion on the world and others to be heard; especially here, in a place all too new to her: a place where she had only dreamt of in her mind, on those lonely nights under the sky- alone. However, maybe she had known all that once. Once, in a time where she had everything to lose.
Her huge gray hued voids would tell her whole story, but those voids where like locked up and impossible to open. They couldn’t tell you all the laughs she had had, all the tears she had shed, all those lessons done and learned. As hard as anything she couldn’t show you the pain she had felt during her lifetime in those orbs. Go ahead. Stare. Stare into those gray hued eyes that where set onto her blackened face. Look into them and try to figure her out: her past, her memories and her soul. All locked up in those fearful eyes, not her heart or her mind, but her eyes. So little to be seen and yet so much could be said. But the thing is she would not speak of them. She was a closed book not waiting to be opened.
Outstretched talons connected to small black paws clicked every step as the hit the jagged rocks under them. Muscles tensed and quivered under a black pelt with each short, yet quick stride. Gray orbs started straight ahead, ears perked up and erect listening for sounds of danger, moist noise twitching for the smell of others. She had, she thought, waited too long for this. Her strides quickened as she ran off of the waters edge.
For one fleeting moment as she walked, she felt all the weight lift off of her shoulders, but it was gone as quick as it had come, knowing all too well that wouldn't last a lifetime. The black moist nose twitched once more at the scent of the area. Shadow began to pace side to side, wondering what brought her to these rapids, why she was still alone? Sitting down on her haunches, she twisted her cranium into the air, eyelids covered her eyes, her jaws opened and a melody poured out. Her notes started at a low range and started to climb higher and higher until it was cut off. She was trying to get out all her emotions, all her loneliness, her sorrow, her pain, her anger and anguish; everything.
The sky was a dark blue with a yellow Waning Gibbous Moon whose light shone brightly down on her. The air was a little on this Spring night with only a hint of a slight breeze that ruffled her dark pelt slightly, brining the scent of more foliage with it. Pale eyes that were set symmetrically on her face shone with the color of the moon since they didn’t really have a color of their own. Her small small bodice rose and fell as she took deep breaths and listened to the sound of owls in the nearby trees as well as the running of water next to her and the other sounds of nature with her just waiting. Waiting for something to happen, not wanting to disturb the peace.
With the moon shinning down on her like it was, her full body was viewable, but not vulnerable. Frame and body was small, too small. One could mistake her for a fox if she wasn't slightly bigger then them with wolf features. Long and sleek, that's what she was with an oynx stained pelt that held not a blemish. This female wolf could be beautiful, but she could never see herself like that, nor could she think she could be tolerable. But somewhere inside her said she was looking for acceptance which, was something her mind hadn't been able to comprehend since she left her past life with the one who cared most to her, Deadly Nightshade. Bodice rose and fell still, hot air emitting into the air from her nostrils as she was overwhelmed with old memories, her soul wanting to go back, her mind telling her to start anew. Delicate-looking paws swatted a few random pieces of grass as she struggled to stay in the present.
She could hear the waves crashing near her from the Rin Gulf, she could hear the difference between its waves and the waves that had engulfed her so many years ago. She knew now though, to not go into an ocean like that, especially when it could kill you. That was it, sh wanted to scream. Shadow was remembering being pulled under the water filling up her lungs with something other than air. No longer did her eyes look faraway, she was going to stay in the present now, she wasn't going to relive those memories ever again...

The newborn spring brought on a freshness that Dolosus could feel at his very core. He had spent the day stalking and harassing small game to his success and embarrassing failures. But his energy had not tired as the sun had set, and he took to leaving the grasslands to venture toward water. And here he was. The surging rapids added an alluring fragrance to the springtime potpourri of scents, and it kept the brute’s spirits up as he was still recovering from his run in with a lone wolf not too long ago. His ego had been stunted, if not kicked in an unpleasant space, and Dolosus was nursing his self value by picking on little morsels of food as if he was a bloody conqueror with a merciless eye.
But the Bloody Conqueror on his trek toward the rushing water was startled by the sound of a howl, a marker of another’s presence. Of course after his previous encounter, he actually felt a bit uneasy nearing another wolf. What the wolf was howling for was lost to his ears as his head was overloaded with apprehension and slight fear. But with his conqueror mentality, he would face whoever this wolf was and make his fears submit, like a true man. Paws stepping forward, he moved carelessly over the rocks towards upstream. As he neared the water’s edge, he wondered what good this wolf would be. He didn’t have a clue what they could be howling for, but Dolosus knew he’d toy with the thing like it was a little squirrel. A slight show of dominance, a little bluff and he’d be on his way. The transactions of self worth was an exchange Dolosus lived to mettle in; for better or for worse.
Dolosus marched on until a dark form came into view from the distance. Its distinct canine features made Dolosus assume it was a fellow wolf, and the scent that followed made him certain it was. In the darkness, Dolosus could only see the outline of the creature from his distance, so he continued forward with an eager lope, curious to investigate the newcomer. A pleasantly familiar mix of details put a grin on Dolosus’ face as his yellow orbs in the moonlight shined upon the female before him. His immediate urge of interaction with this dark furred females was thus: Hunkering down into a playful position, Dolosus let his tail wag as he attempted to initiate play. “How would ya like to play a game of chase, m’lady?” He expected to leap out of the way of a feisty snap from her, which would only keep him going on the teasing game. If she actually let him play with her, well… Dolosus wasn’t expecting that at all and probably would be caught off guard to the point of insulting them for their willingness. “How ‘bout it?” he had a toying look in his eyes.

Her mind wouldn't stop spinning. There was just too much to think about, too much to take in, too much that she was lost in herself, unaware of what was approaching. It was so strange how the feeling of being free came back, like she could fly up and touch the moon or even walk on water. Feeling so carefree was something she wasn't used to, something she hadn't really known or succumbed; it was like she was on some kind of high. A sensitive nose was able to pick out every single scent: the flowers, the way the wet rocks smelled, the trees etcetera. OK, maybe there was something she missed but the scent was masked by everything else, or maybe it was going unnoticed because she was no longer used to that smell.
Paws flexed causing long sharp talons to dip into the hard earth below, pale voids looked around the night scene falling on another wolfs figure lightly before closing them once more. 'No one would come here, come near me. That figure- that figure was not real. Just a figment of mind is all.' However, she was second-guessing herself, telling herself that the shadow she had seen was real, so very real. Well than, if it was she would guard herself, possibly even walk away. If she was treated wrongly than she would put them in their place, but she would have to wait and see.
See, yes. Eyes once more opened to scrutinize the dark scene before her. What she saw made her gasp out loud in spite of hersel f. There walking toward s her was a shadow of a larger stature than her with ice blue eyes that she could plainly see. Pounding against her bodice was her heart as its pace quickened to an unnatural rate causing her breaths to hasten as well. Closer. Closer. Now she knew what was in store for her and she wasn't quite so sure of what she would do. Particularly as the wolf that she now knew to be male poised himself in a playful position, his tail wagging trying to get her to play.
“How would ya like to play a game of chase, m’lady?” His voice called to her, How 'bout it?
It was obvious she was a little shocked by his words, so many emotions bubbling up at once. "Oh of course Sir, I would love to." When she spoke, her voice was soft and smooth and probably completely impossible to hear the sarcasm in her tone. "I mean I always play with random males, Sir. It is what I live for." In a quick movement Shadow was on her paws, her lips scarcely drawn back, her talons out like always and a low rumble coming from her throat that was suppose to be a snarl but sounded more like a purr.

Dolosus was humored by the look on the female’s face and let his tongue loll out to add affect to his jesting. He could imagine her recoiling in fury at his simple query, and him carrying on until he would be overcome by laughter. “Of course Sir, I would love to." At this reply, Dolosus titled his head and let out a “wha?” sound. He definitely didn’t want that reply. There was no fun in this whole scene if she expected them to pounce all over each other. If it was still winter maybe, but it wasn’t. And Dolosus didn’t play with strangers. Actual play was for pups anyway, and he was a full grown wolf. He was a strong, first-born, high quality male, and he didn’t play games. No. He made sure even the twigs in the forest gave way to his will and might. "I mean I always play with random males, Sir. It is what I live for." It seemed all that description of high quality stock was for his bulk and not for his brain cells since the confused look on his face never left.
In the moonlight, the dark shape jolted upright in an aggressive stance. Ah, she’s a cryptic one. Trying to beat me at my own game, eh? A sound came from her throat that resembled a growl, but Dolosus laughed at it. His laugh was deep and hearty as he mocked such a sound coming from a wolf. This one might be too easy a target to toy with, but it should be fun nonetheless. “So what game do ya want to play?” His tail resumed wagging as he thought of another game to suggest. What would best drive the females into a frenzy? “Ooo! I got it!” Hopping out of his playful stance, he lowered his head and eyed her with a smirk. “Let’s see who can growl the best! It’s my turn!” With his head lowered, he chanced a step forward and let out a deep, rumbling growl. Ears folded back and tail now still and rigid, Dolosus took on an aggressive stance in hopes of invoking a bit more aggressive stance in her. What he got in provoking wolves? Aside from the ego boost of being able to manipulate wolves at his will, it was always his curious nature to poke and prod at things until they either died or bit him. Wolves were no different that the things in the forest. That this one was a special case, Dolosus doubted, and was enjoying himself immensely.

All she could do was shake her head, now understanding his intentions as he spoke his words, changed his stance and growled. This was absolutely pathetic and she couldn't understand, did wolves truly act this way now. No, she was sure they did not, he was trying to get some reaction from her, something that she thought he tried to do often. None the less, Shadow would give him no satisfaction, nothing to boast about. By now her mind was turning, analyzing the situation she was not incorporated into. What was nagging at her mind though was why he had asked to play, unless it was some male thing. She had grown up the daughter of two alphas who had high expectations of her so she did not play, she learned, asked questions; everything was serious. Never had she played but that was mainly due to her being the only one in the litter to live.
If she was not in control of herself she would have already lashed out at him for her mockery. It was not her fault that she had had no need to growl in a very long time. Suddenly as if there had never been a disturbance she relaxed back to her sitting position, her face softening back to how it looked before, her pale eyes giving no emotion. "Such a pity. Is how you get your amusement, provoking females?" Shadow tilted her head to the side, her face looking up into his, her soft voice ringing in the air. Now she knew what she was in for, but no one ever said she couldn't have any fun on the way. Mentally she slapped herself, knowing what she was about to do wasn't something she could calculate.
Black jaws opened slightly just enough for her front canines to be seen as a rumble formed in her chest, soft and slow at first but gaining in loudness until she was emitting a deafening and ferocious growl that echoed all around. 'There,' She thought, figuring that was all she needed to do, 'I figure that was better than my little purr from before.' With the growl out of the way she couldn't fathom what this younger male would come up with next and she was through with such foolishness. Once more she was standing but instead of taking an aggressive stance she began to walk down river, stopping a few yards away before sitting once more. If he followed so be it, if he left her alone, that was Ok too.

Her expression reverted to one that was calm and undisturbed, as if Dolosus’ sudden gestures were something not out of the ordinary to her. Dolosus eased from his rigid stance and eyed her with disdain. She wasn’t falling to his game, and it was making him angry. Not only is she cryptic, but she’s also a cheeky one too. He recognized her words to be patronizing, and Dolosus’ interest in the female was waning. Even when she gave a real, rather ferocious growl, Dolosus was not impressed. First appearances was what he went on, and the tiny, near timid growl she gave beforehand was locked in his memory as a detail of this wolf. In the darkness, he couldn’t really much oogle at the midnight pelt he coveted so, but her temperament was already proving too much for the Bloody Conqueror to handle.
His hardening blue eyes watched as she began to walk down river to sit a bit of distance away from him. Nu uh. No way she was going to shake him off like that. Dolosus would pull out his whole arsenal of tricks to get this wolf to crack. Perhaps he should play along for now and find the perfect time to strike and drive her mad. Indeed, it sounded like a plan. With a strange grin on his muzzle, he strutted over to her and titled his head as he gazed at her. “I guess that was a pretty good growl for a pretty wolf…” He stepped closer to her, within striking range if she let her wrath leave its mark on his muzzle. He chuckled with his deep voice and whispered almost seductively. “But it’ll take more to intimidate me.” He let out another small, bad breathed chuckled escape his lips, as he waited for the reaction by this female.
